I thought that maybe a little bit of history was necessary here. I have loved working with this site and with Lord DragonMyst, who is a good friend. Excalibur was a fabulous idea from it's conception and is really taking off recently, but we need more new members, especially kids, to make it a real big success. My association with Excalibur - The Land of Enchantment would never have happened had I not met the Lord DragonMyst through an organization where my children's website was in competition. And now....I have a wonderful and caring friend.

Keeping children safe on the Internet is a very important issue and with all the predators creeping around out there...one's first instinct is to keep the kids away from the computer and off the Internet entirely. This won't work. The technology is growing and improving daily and frankly, I love it and want to share it with my kids!

There are "bad" people outside of the cyber community as well, but I can't lock my children away in the house if they are to grow and learn. So I am very careful and, maybe that won't be enough. But we take the high road and all precautions and live our lives. Believe me when I tell you that I am extremely cautious of my kid's Internet time and with whom they speak and correspond....as ALL parents should be. This machine is not a babysitter....it's a learning tool and the process is endless.

I make my living with the Internet and the computer. I design and build websites for children, adults and small businesses, as well as being a Notary Public for the State of Oregon and having a few small bookkeeping accounts on the side. I am pretty much on the computer all day.

Unfortunately, I don't look like the "fantasy" Good Witch of these pages; rarely do I even look like my picture. Most days will find me with little or no makeup, hair in a ponytail, sweats comfortably arranged, with my foot tucked under my behind, hacking away at the keyboard....but loving every minute of it and enjoying the new people and friends that I make doing what I really like!
